I am a retired school teacher originally from Staffordshire which is in the West Midlands of England. During my childhood much of my family travelling was limited to the North Wales caravan resorts of Rhyl and Abergele and the annual pilgrimage to the North West beach resort of Blackpool to view the nationally famous Illuminations in the late autumn.
In my early twenties I began travelling a little wider spending some of my time grape picking around Perpignan and working as a volunteer rebuilding a 16th century castle in Austria. I took my first flight at the age of thirty, a short hop across the English Channel to Paris from London.
In recent years I have spent much of my time enjoying the beauties of the United Kingdom, Europe, North America and more recently Australia. The world is my oyster!
